Reading an answer
Every stat tile and score on OptimizeCamp is a summary. This screen is the opposite — the actual, word-for-word answer an AI gave, with your brand and every competitor picked out so you can see exactly what happened.
The prompt detail screen
Click any prompt — from the Prompts table, the dashboard’s weakest-prompts list, an alert, or the Competitors head-to-head table — and you land here, at /[org]/projects/[project]/visibility/prompts/[promptId]. The header repeats the exact prompt text in monospace (it’s literally what was sent to each platform), its category, and a one-line legend that explains the color coding you’re about to see:
“your brand is highlighted green, competitors amber.”
This is the screen most worth showing a skeptical teammate — it proves every OptimizeCamp number by pointing straight at the raw text that produced it.
Brand vs. competitor highlighting
Below the header sits one card per tracked platform, each showing that platform’s most recent answer for this prompt. Inside the answer text, every mention of your brand — matched against your brand name and its aliases — is wrapped in an emerald highlight, and every mention of a tracked competitor (matched the same way, against each competitor’s name and aliases) is wrapped in amber. Plain text is left alone. It’s the fastest way to answer “did the AI even talk about me, and who did it talk about instead?” at a glance.
One card per platform
Each platform card — currently one for ChatGPT and one for Google AI Overviews — shows a platform badge, a capture timestamp, and then one of three things in its body:
| What you see | What it means |
|---|---|
| “No run yet.” | This prompt has never been sent to this platform — run a tracking cycle to get a first answer. |
| “No AI answer triggered…” | The platform was queried but declined to generate an answer box for this query — itself a signal: there’s an answer opportunity sitting unclaimed. |
| The highlighted answer text | A real captured answer, rendered with brand/competitor highlighting as described above. |
A platform card can also carry a small simulated tag when that particular answer was generated by simulation rather than a live query — see simulated platforms on the dashboard page for what that means.
Citations on this answer
When an answer includes linked sources, they appear as a row of small domain chips beneath that platform’s card, ordered the same way the platform presented them. Each chip is colored by whose page it is:
- your-domain.com — one of your own pages was cited.
- competitor.com — a tracked competitor’s page was cited.
- other-site.com — a third-party source neither you nor a tracked competitor.
For the aggregate view of every citation across every prompt — which of your pages earn the most, and which competitor pages you’re losing to — see Citations.
Arriving from an alert
If you got here by clicking an alert — a prompt lost, a citation lost, or a win — the URL carries a platform parameter, and this page responds two ways: that platform’s card is reordered to appear first, and it’s wrapped in a subtle emerald ring so you can find it immediately. A banner above the cards confirms “From your alert — the [platform] answer is shown first,” with a dismiss control that clears the highlight.
How OptimizeCamp finds a run-over-run change
This screen itself shows only the latest answer per platform — it isn’t a history browser. The comparison work — noticing that your brand vanished after three straight runs, that a citation you used to have is now gone, or that you just won one back — happens continuously in the background and surfaces as an alert that deep-links straight back to the exact platform card that changed.
Pages that should answer this
Below the platform cards, a “Pages that should answer this” panel lists content from your content inventory that OptimizeCamp has matched to this prompt. Each matched page shows:
- Match confidence — how closely the page’s content lines up with this prompt’s topic, as a percentage.
- Priority — the page’s current Priority Score, or “No priority yet” if it hasn’t been scored.
- Audit — its latest audit score, or “Never audited.”
- Cited / not cited — whether this exact page shows up in this prompt’s citation list.
Click a matched page to open it directly in the audit & editor. If nothing is matched yet, the panel says so and points you to import the page that should be answering this question.
Key takeaways
- The prompt detail screen shows the real, word-for-word AI answer for one prompt on each tracked platform — not a summary.
- Your brand is highlighted emerald and every tracked competitor is highlighted amber, right inside the answer text.
- Citation chips below each answer are colored by ownership: yours (emerald), a competitor's (amber), or a third party (slate).
- Alert deep-links land here with the relevant platform reordered to the top and ring-highlighted.
- A matched-pages panel shows which of your content should be winning this prompt, with its match confidence, priority and audit status.
