Getting started

Accounts & billing

Before you can run the 15-minute setup, two things have to happen: you create an account, and your workspace gets an active plan. This page walks the whole path from the signup form to your first project — including the private-beta invite and what to do if you're locked out.

Creating an account

Sign up at /signup with your name, email, and a password (at least 8 characters). There’s no email-verification step — the account is live the moment you submit, and you’re signed straight in. Creating an account also provisions your workspace automatically: a personal organization you own, which every project lives inside.

Note

Accounts are single-owner. You can’t create or join someone else’s workspace from the app — each account gets exactly one workspace of its own, and there’s no way to invite teammates into it yet.

Invite codes

Signup is open — no invite code is needed to create an account. During beta programs the signup form may show an optional invite code field: a valid code unlocks a complimentary Starter workspace, so invited users skip the payment step below entirely. If you were promised an invite and don’t have a code, ask us for one.

The first-run path

Right after signup you land on /enter, a dispatcher that sends you to the right next step — and it’s where you return each time you sign in:

No active plan yet → checkout

If your workspace has never subscribed (and you didn’t come in on a complimentary invite), you’re sent to Choose your plan first.

Plan active, no project yet → onboarding

With an active plan and no project, you go to the 15-minute setup. Return visits with a half-finished setup drop you back exactly where you left off.

All set → your dashboard

Once a project is fully set up, /enter takes you straight to its Visibility dashboard.

Choosing a plan (payment up front)

There’s no free trial. Unless you arrived on a complimentary invite, you pick a plan before you can onboard. The Choose your plan screen shows Starter, Pro, and Agency side by side — projects, pooled prompts, run cadence, and monthly credits — with Continue to checkout on each.

  • Checkout is hosted by Freemius, our merchant of record — you never hand card details to OptimizeCamp directly.
  • Your first charge is backed by a 14-day money-back guarantee.
  • Yearly billing saves up to 26% vs paying monthly — flip the Monthly/Yearly toggle on the plan screen, or switch the cycle on the checkout page itself.

Activation is automatic

The checkout page never flips the switch itself — a signed webhook from Freemius does. After you pay, you’re returned to a “Payment received — activating…” screen that refreshes on its own; your workspace unlocks the moment the purchase is confirmed, usually within seconds. If nothing happens after a minute, refresh once or contact support.

For what each tier includes, how credits and caps behave, and what happens at a limit, see Plans, quotas & credits.

If a subscription lapses — or you can’t sign in

If your subscription lapses or is cancelled, the workspace goes read-only: every run, score, and page stays visible, but anything that would spend a credit or a cap is blocked until you pick a plan again. Nothing is deleted, and subscribing restores full access instantly.

Forgot your password?

Sign in at /login with your email and password. If you’re locked out, use /forgot-password — we email you a reset link that stays valid for one hour. Still stuck? Contact support rather than creating a second account.

Key takeaways

  • Signup takes name, email, and an 8+ character password; there's no email-verification step, and one personal workspace is created for you automatically.
  • Signup is open — an invite code is never required, but a valid beta invite grants a complimentary Starter workspace that skips payment.
  • With no invite and no plan, /enter routes you to pay first: there's no free trial, checkout is handled by Freemius with a 14-day money-back guarantee, and your workspace unlocks when the billing webhook confirms.
  • A lapsed subscription makes the workspace read-only (nothing is deleted), and /forgot-password emails a one-hour reset link if you're locked out.
