Getting started

What is OptimizeCamp?

OptimizeCamp measures how ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews talk about your brand, helps you fix and create relevant pages, and then measures what tracking observed afterward. Here's what that means, in plain language.

Your buyers stopped clicking. They started asking.

For a long time, finding a business online meant typing a query into a search box and clicking through a page of blue links. Today, a growing share of those same questions go straight to an AI: someone asks ChatGPT “what’s the best project management tool for a remote team?” or sees Google’s AI Overview at the top of the results, and gets a written answer that names a handful of brands — not a list of ten links to sort through themselves.

That answer is where the decision now happens. If the AI names three products and yours isn’t one of them, you were never in the running. You didn’t rank low — you were absent, and the person asking never even saw your name. We unpack why this shift happened and what it’s called in AEO, GEO & AI search explained; this page assumes none of that and just tells you what OptimizeCamp does about it.

Key idea

Classic search tools can’t see any of this, because there is no ranking to track — there is one generated answer, and it changes with every question, model, and day. You need a different kind of tool to even know where you stand.

What OptimizeCamp does, in one paragraph

OptimizeCamp is a closed-loop AI visibility platform. Give it your website, and it tracks how ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews mention, cite, and characterize your brand across the real questions your buyers ask. It tells you exactly which pages should be earning citations but aren't, and which topics you have no content for at all — then helps you fix the first group and write the second, using the actual AI answers as evidence rather than guesswork. After you publish, it re-measures automatically and shows you, in plain terms, what changed in a fixed before-and-after cohort without claiming the publish caused that movement.

The loop: measure, fix, create, prove

That paragraph is really four jobs, and OptimizeCamp treats them as one continuous loop rather than four separate tools. Each stage feeds the next: what you measure decides what you fix and create, and what you publish gets measured again to close the loop.

Why not just use a tracker, or just use an AI writer?

Most tools in this space do one slice of the job well and stop there. Visibility trackers will tell you, correctly, that you’re invisible on a given prompt — and then leave you to figure out what to do about it. AI writing tools will help you produce content quickly — without knowing what the AI engines are actually saying about you, or whether the piece they just generated addresses any of it. OptimizeCamp is built to be the connective tissue between those two halves.

Who it’s for

OptimizeCamp is built for anyone whose growth depends on being the answer, not just having a page that could theoretically rank:

  • Marketers and growth teams who need a defensible answer to “are we visible in AI search?” and a plan for improving it, not just a dashboard to stare at.
  • SEO and content teams extending existing workflows into AI search — deciding which of dozens of pages to rewrite first, and which new pages are actually worth writing.
  • Founders at smaller companies who don’t have a content team, and need the highest-leverage fix or article surfaced for them automatically.
  • Agencies proving AI-search results to clients — with white-label, client-ready reports and read-only share links on the Agency plan (see Reports & sharing).

What you need to get started

Two things, and only one is required:

  • A live website. That’s the only hard requirement — OptimizeCamp reads your homepage (and, where it can, your about and pricing pages) to draft a brand profile automatically.
  • WordPress, optionally. If your site runs on WordPress, you can connect it so pages sync in for optimization and fixes can publish straight back as drafts. It’s entirely optional and can be set up at any time — see Connecting WordPress. If you’re on something else, you can still bring pages in by URL or by pasting content.

Key takeaways

  • AI answers now decide what people discover — being absent from the answer means being invisible, not just low-ranked.
  • OptimizeCamp measures your AI visibility, fixes underperforming pages, creates the pages you're missing, and re-measures to report what happened afterward — one loop, not four disconnected tools.
  • It's built for marketers, SEO/content teams, founders, and agencies proving AI-search results to clients.
  • You need a live website to start. WordPress is optional and can be connected any time.
