Fixing Issues

After running an audit, OptimizeCamp highlights issues directly in your content with actionable fix suggestions. Here's how to work with them.

Inline Issue Highlights

Issues appear as colored underlines in the editor:

  • Red underlines — Accuracy issues (incorrect or outdated claims).
  • Amber underlines — Authority gaps (missing subtopics or thin coverage).
  • Blue underlines — Citation readiness issues (structure, clarity, formatting).

Click any highlighted text to open the issue popover.

Issue Popover

Each issue popover shows:

  1. Issue type — What category the problem falls into.
  2. Explanation — Why this is flagged and how it affects your score.
  3. Suggested fix — The specific text change recommended.
  4. Accept / Dismiss — Apply the fix with one click, or dismiss if you disagree.

Accepting Fixes

When you click Accept:

  • The suggested text replaces the flagged content in the editor.
  • Your scores recalculate in real time — you'll see the sidebar scores update immediately.
  • The issue is removed from the issue list.

You can undo any accepted fix with Ctrl+Z (or Cmd+Z on Mac).

Dismissing Issues

If a fix doesn't apply to your context, click Dismiss. The issue is removed from the list but the original text stays unchanged.

Working Through Issues Efficiently

The scoring sidebar shows a count of remaining issues per dimension. A good workflow:

  1. Start with Accuracy — Fix factual errors first, as these have the highest impact.
  2. Address Authority gaps — Add missing subtopics to improve comprehensiveness.
  3. Polish Citation Readiness — Improve structure and clarity last.

Re-running the Audit

After making significant manual edits (beyond accepting suggestions), you can re-run the audit to get fresh scores. Click the Re-audit button in the toolbar.

Note that each re-run counts against your plan's audit quota.
